Updated 2D Engine and New HSM Routines

VISI 16 sees the introduction of a new set of routines specifically designed to use HSM technology for 2D operations. These 4 new routines have been developed to incorporate all the necessary switches and options to perform high speed milling on regular 2D components. Unique to this technology is also the ability to combine roughing and finishing operations.

The 2D CAM engine has also been revisited for VISI 16 to ensure the engine fully supports the “Compass technology” as well as simplifying its standard usage.

Cam Navigator

A completely new approach to the machinable geometry and the resulting operations has been developed for VISI 16. The old “operation manager” has been replaced by a more functional “CAM Navigator” double tree. The first tree has the main objective of organizing the machinable geometry offering functionality such as: drag & drop, sorting, filtering, duplications, deletion, element property changes, and many others. While the secondary tree contains unique operation information such as: current machine, current tool-crib, CAM setup status, CAM setup origin translation / rotation, merge of operations, sorting, deletion, drag & drop, and many others.
