VISI Shoes - Constraint Curves A new important constraint curve feature has been introduced into VISI 16. This new option provides the ability to adapt the same model to different sole contours or tool lines. Using constraint curves, the shoe designer can apply the same sole model to different lasts or alternatively modify only a single detail (i.e. a drive curve of a single surface) with all connected curves parametrically updated. Parametric Operations VISI Shoes sees the introduction of dedicated parametric operations. It is possible to create parametric solids through commands such as : Close to Solid, Extrude To Solid, Contour of element or profile and 18 types of parametric surfaces commands. It is also possible to modify the parametric bodies by features (blend, variable blend, chamfer, move face, extrude face, incline face, imprint curve, scale and move by translation). Tread Patterns The Sole option is now split into 3 pages, Standard, Sport and Tread Pattern, each of them parametrically linked to the others. The new enhanced third page for designing the tread pattern now includes 4 kinds of base pattern design and the capability to create libraries of customized patterns
